A family in Bunjosi, Misikhu, has been plunged into deep mourning following the tragic death of a medical doctor and his teenage son in a road accident on Wednesday.

Dr. Moses Wekesa Sindani and his son, Ian Wekesa, a Form Three student at St. Joseph’s Boys High School in Kitale, died after the motorcycle they were riding collided with a government vehicle at Malaha Junction along the Webuye-Kitale Highway.

Dr. Sindani died at the scene of the accident, while his son was rushed to Lifecare Hospital in Bungoma for treatment. Sadly, Ian later succumbed to his injuries.

The double tragedy has cut short two lives and left their family and loved ones grappling with the painful loss of a father and his son in the same accident.

The circumstances surrounding the crash had not been fully established by the time of publication.
