Kimilili parliamentary aspirant Masinde Nguti has vowed to spearhead comprehensive development across Kimilili Constituency if elected as the next Member of Parliament, promising a leadership style centered on service delivery, accountability, and people-driven development.

Speaking during a series of engagements with residents, Nguti said the constituency has immense potential that remains largely untapped and requires visionary leadership to unlock opportunities for youth, women, farmers, and small-scale traders.

The aspiring legislator outlined an ambitious development agenda focusing on education, infrastructure, healthcare, agriculture, and youth empowerment. He pledged to ensure that students benefit from increased bursary allocations and improved learning facilities while championing programs aimed at enhancing academic performance in local schools.

Nguti also emphasized the need for better road networks to improve connectivity within the constituency, saying improved infrastructure would boost trade and attract investment opportunities.

On healthcare, he promised to lobby for better-equipped health facilities and improved access to quality medical services, particularly in rural areas where residents often face challenges accessing treatment.

The parliamentary hopeful further pledged to prioritize youth empowerment through skills development programs, job creation initiatives, and support for entrepreneurship, arguing that young people hold the key to the constituency’s economic growth.

Agriculture, which remains the backbone of the local economy, will also receive special attention under his leadership, Nguti said. He pledged to advocate for better market access, affordable farm inputs, and value-addition initiatives aimed at increasing farmers’ incomes.

“Kimilili deserves transformational leadership that listens to the people and delivers tangible results. My vision is to build a prosperous constituency where every resident has an opportunity to succeed,” Nguti said.

His remarks come as political activities begin to gather momentum ahead of the next General Election, with various leaders positioning themselves to succeed the current office holder.
Residents who attended the meetings expressed optimism about the development agenda presented, saying they are keen to evaluate leaders based on their vision, track record, and commitment to addressing the constituency’s challenges.

As the political landscape continues to take shape, Nguti’s promise of transformation is expected to form a key pillar of his campaign as he seeks to win the support of Kimilili voters.
