Khwisero Member of Parliament Hon. Christopher Aseka has donated a brand-new school bus to St. Stephen’s Mulwanda Secondary School in Kisa Central.
The bus, fully funded through the Khwisero Constituency Development Fund (CDF), is expected to ease transport challenges, facilitate student mobility, and enhance participation in co-curricular activities, inter-school competitions, and academic trips.
Speaking during the handover, Hon. Aseka said the initiative is part of his “Abana Basome Agenda” — a program aimed at improving learning conditions across all schools in the constituency.
“We want every learner in Khwisero to study in a conducive environment. Quality education cannot thrive in hardship. Our goal is to ensure every institution has the facilities it needs,” he said.
The school’s principal, Mr. Stephen Makonjio, expressed gratitude to the MP for his continued support to the education sector.
“St. Stephen’s Mulwanda is one of the most populous schools in the sub-county. We are truly grateful to our MP for this generous contribution. Although the bus belongs to our school, we are open to supporting other institutions within Khwisero whenever the need arises. The MP is ours, and so is the school,” Mr. Makonjio said.
Hon. Aseka also announced that two more schools — Eshibinga Secondary School and Ikomero Secondary School — are set to receive new buses in the 2025/2026 financial year.
The legislator has earned widespread praise for his transformative leadership in Khwisero, where he has spearheaded the construction of modern storey classrooms, improved road infrastructure, and expanded access to education. His development record has earned him the nickname “Aseka Miradi.”
With such investments taking shape across the constituency, residents say Khwisero is steadily on the rise.
