The formidable Musingu High School soccer team, popularly known as “The Scorpions,” has sent a strong warning to rivals at the ongoing Kakamega County Secondary Schools Sports Association (KSSSA) Games that kicked off in Mumias today.

The former national champions displayed their class in their opening Group C fixture, hammering Lubinu Boys High School from Mumias East 5-0 in a thrilling encounter.
Musingu took control of the match early, with Kevin Mukaramoja opening the scoring before adding his second goal of the game. Shaban Quimba netted the third goal, while Walker and Mukaramoja completed the rout to hand the Scorpions a convincing five-star victory.
The Scorpions carried their impressive form into their second match against Kivaywa Boys High School from Lugari Sub-county, registering a comfortable 2-0 win.

The goals were scored by Ashuu and Opiyo, with Ashuu earning the Man of the Match award following a stellar performance.
With two victories from two matches and seven goals scored without conceding, Musingu has emerged as one of the tournament favourites.
The Scorpions will play their final group-stage match tomorrow at Mumias Bomani Grounds, with the team confident of maintaining its unbeaten run.
According to the team’s technical bench, the school administration, led by Chief Principal Mr. Bernard Lukuya, has heavily invested in the football program, providing the players with the motivation and resources needed to excel.

“We narrowly missed out last year, but our target this season is to reclaim the national title. The competition is tough, but we believe in our squad and are confident of going all the way,” said one of the team’s coaches.
With a blend of talent, discipline, and determination, the Scorpions appear poised for another memorable campaign as they chase county, regional, and national glory..
