The prestigious Nambale High School in Busia has a new principal Mr Tom Amadi Ouko.

Mr Amadi took over from Charles Hongo who has since settled at St Pauls Shikunga in Kakamega County.

Barely a term at the new school, Mr Amadi has been hailed as the safe pair of hands for the leading boys’ school in the area.

Speaking to this writer, an anonymous stakeholder said that there is calm in the school and Mwalimu has done so much within a short period and they are optimistic that he is going to impress even more.

“The academic standards of the school were dwindling and the new Mwalimu understands this pretty well and he assured us of the positive performance going forward,” he said.

He added, “It is noted that in a hostile environment, one cannot realise production and we can see the relationship between the principal and teachers is very cordial which is very good for us.”

Bishop Robert Magina of ACK Nambale Diocese also has kind words for the principal and assured him of his support that the school reclaims its position at the top.

Tom Amadi was at Kamusinde before his transfer at Nambale. He is said to have put proper measures that are going to make Nambale an academic powerhouse in Kenya.

The principal is a very understanding person. He gives audience to whoever approaches his office and stakeholders note this is good for them.

“For sure Nambale is on the right academic path.”
