Goibei Girls High School held a dynamic Academic Clinic on Saturday, 14th March 2025 for its Form Three students, the 2026 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) candidate class.
The event brought together parents, teachers, and school leaders to chart a roadmap for academic excellence, emphasising mindset shifts, discipline, and collective responsibility.
Ambitious Targets Unveiled
The school announced a 9.5 mean target and 100 per cent transition rate for the 2026 KCSE cohort, building on its 2024 performance (7.6 mean, 85.53 per cent university eligibility).
The 2025 candidate class, currently in Form Four, is already working towards an interim target of an 8.5 mean.
Leadership’s Call to Action
Chief Principal Madam Rose Koech set the tone, emphasising the school’s legacy of strong academic results.
“Success is not accidental. We must prepare relentlessly, complete the syllabus early, and revise strategically. Your thoughts shape your destiny: think success, act success,” she urged.
Parents Association (PA) Chair Mr Hamza Mzuri challenged parents to partner with the school for it to realise its vision:
“Avoid disparaging the school on social media. Use official channels to address concerns. Your support—timely fee payments and ensuring your daughters attend classes—is non-negotiable.”
Board of Management Vice Chair Hedrick Mushenye highlighted some of the financial hurdles the school faces:
“Unpaid fees strain our operations, including feeding students. Prioritise fee payments to realise our 2023–2027 strategic plan.”
Students: Discipline and Sacrifice
Madam Koech and PA leaders stressed discipline as the cornerstone of success.
“Unique sacrifices yield unique results. Stay focused, avoid distractions, and trust the process,” urged Mushenye.
Top performers in internal exams—three students with A– grades—were celebrated, with promises of “hefty rewards” for sustained excellence.
Parental Partnership Critical
Parents were called to:
- Pay fees promptly to avoid disruptions.
- Ensure student attendance and punctuality.
- Champion the school’s reputation through positivity and prayers.
“Insulting the principal online harms everyone. Let’s resolve issues internally,” Mzuri emphasised.
2025 Cohort: Momentum Builds
With an 8.5 mean target, the 2025 class is already deep into syllabus coverage, aiming to start revisions in Term Three.
“We’re on track, but discipline and parental support will make the difference,” said Madam Koech.

The principal vowed to cement Goibei’s place in academic history:
“Through dedication, passion, and unity, we will leave a mark that future generations will celebrate.”
The clinic closed with a rallying cry: “Goibei’s success hinges on every student’s effort, every parent’s commitment, and every teacher’s dedication. Together, 9.5 is possible!”
