Amani Clubs are an initiative of the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC), established in the aftermath of the 2007–2008 Kenyan post-election violence.

The program was designed to promote peace, national unity, and social cohesion among young people in schools.

Over the years, many schools have embraced Amani Clubs, leading to improved discipline, enhanced cohesion, and stronger values of unity among students.

National Chairperson of Amani Clubs Mr. Kunani Kennedy Isaac

Joysil Preparatory School, under the leadership of Director Sylvester Mysikoyo, has established itself as a strong performer in Amani Club activities. The school has won several trophies in essay writing competitions and will be competing at the national level this year.

Meanwhile, ACK Namulungu Secondary School will be making its second appearance at the national championship. This milestone is largely attributed to the efforts of Mr. Kennedy Kunani Isaac, a dedicated peace advocate and national chairperson.

According to Mr. Kunani, preparations for the championship are complete, expressing optimism that this year’s event will surpass previous editions.

St. Peter’s Mumias Boys High School remains one of the pioneers of Amani Clubs in the Western Region. Their consistent participation and strong performance at the national level continue to inspire other schools.

In 2025,National Championship was held in Western Kenya, hosted by Koyonzo Boys High School. Following that successful event, Western Region teams are heading into this year’s competition with high expectations and optimism for outstanding performance.
