The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has moved several principals in the latest reshuffling that has seen some of them change stations.

Among those moving to new stations is St Cecilia Girls Nangina Principal, Victoria Alukum, who has been transferred to Eregi Girls High School in Kakamega County.

The soft-spoken Senior Principal is accredited with impressive performance in Nangina Girls during her tenure making it the leading girls’ school in Busia.

It was during her time that the elusive A (plain) was realised, a multipurpose hall constructed, and carpeting of the pavements in the school, among several other infrastructural improvements.

The workaholic Principal has drilled water for the school and plans are afoot to have the school start a water bottling enterprise dubbed WIVA AQUA.

St Theresa’s Eregi girls had been marred with a myriad of challenges in the recent past among them the outbreak of hysteria among students that sent the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Health to withdraw the board of management.

Victoria is well versed with the dynamics of Kakamega having handled Holy Cross Emalindi Girls, St Agnes Shibuye among several schools in the region.

Pundits aver that local problems require local solutions and are happy to have Victoria Join Eregi Girls, said a member of the board who was elated to have Victoria at the helm.

Among other principals who changed stations is Mrs Judith Okanda who has since settled at Nangina Girls replacing Victoria Alukum.

Judith Itubo from Eregi Girls takes over at Busiada Girls in the same capacity.

The embattled St Gabriel Isongo Secondary School in Mumias East also has Benson Akharunda  Simon  who took over from David Wafula  who has since been deployed to Kituni Secondary in Webuye West.
