St Anne’s Girls Primary School Mumias has carved out its niche at the echelon of exemplary academic performance.
The school remains a beacon of hope for girls from poor rural backgrounds to access quality education for holistic future excellence.
The school is a centre of excellence in delivery of education curriculum.
Girls have an opportunity, not only to develop knowledge, faculties and skills but also nurture talents and ability to engage with an elaborate education and learning experiences ahead of their lives.
The school espouses values of service to the girl-child, integrity, self-drive, teamwork, commitment to purpose, discipline, honesty, efficiency and God-fearing with a foundation of the Christ’s call to allow children to come unto and know Him.
The school enrols learners without discrimination based on ethnicity, race, socio-economic status and abilities.
The school has a boarding section to curb systematic challenges of fatigue, teenage pregnancies and school dropouts experienced by school going girls. Girl-child education is adversely hampered by the time spent on the road to and from home in a day schooling arrangement.
On the occasion of the dedication prayer for the candidates held at St Peters Catholic Church, the mood was upbeat, reminiscent of well-prepared learners confident of the success ahead.
Cyrillah Sanya noted that the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) and Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) candidates have been prepared well and they will definitely impress in the forthcoming national examinations.
“We have a history of producing impressive performances over the years and this year won’t be an exception. Teachers have done their best in terms of preparing the candidates. We covered syllabus on time and the candidates have also done numerous tests and we are upbeat that the results from the candidates will call for celebrations,” Sanya said.
The top girls’ primary school will also carry out interviews to new pupils on 3rd November at the school’s ground.
“We advise those parents and guardians who have pupils interested in joining the St Annes community to avail them for interviews on 3rd November 2023,” he said.
He further said they are the leading girls’ school in the region and have churned out super women over the years.
