There was jubilation as Skylimit Precious Academy Koyonzo posted impressive results in the just released Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE).
Esther Joy Kadima scored 404 marks making her the top student at the school.
According to the school director Mr. Wycliffee Nyangweso, the impressive performance was expected as a lot had been done as far as preparation of the candidates was concerned.
“This is the second class to sit for the national examinations from this institution and we prioritised on the available resources to enable us achieve the best results,” Mr. Nyangweso said.
He added, “Having missed a few marks to get 400 marks on our first attempt, we learned much from that pioneer class and I am glad that what we put in place finally yielded positive results.”
The school that is located a kilometre from Koyonzo Market off Koyonzo Boys High school, on your way to Emuberi area, boosts of best class structures, cool and serene environment suitable for learners, clean dormitories, constant flow of clean water among other things that make it to stand out.
“When I started this school, I had very few structures, facilities and very few pupils. I am glad that we have grown with time to be what we are at the moment,” the director said.
He noted that they offer the best boarding services to their pupils as they have friendly rates for boarders where every parent only pays Ksh5000 per term as boarding fee.
Mr Franklin Kadima, the Headteacher, avers that the impressive results were as a result of hard work, discipline, fear of God and early syllabus coverage.
“We also have a team of dedicated staff, enough facilities for the candidates and motivation of our teachers,” he said.
He notes that in any hostile environment, there can never be any meaningful production.
“Our Director has been so close to us, despite his busy schedules. He always finds time to be with us and issues affecting learners are attended to immediately,” he said.
He added, “I have never seen a person so passionate about matters education like our director Mr.Wycliffe Nyangweso. May the good Lord continue blessing him.”
Fees at Skylimit is very friendly such that those in PP1 to PP2 pay Ksh12450 and those in G1 to G8 pay Ksh14250.
The school has two school vans that pick and drops day scholars.
The headteacher noted they have put in place elaborate plans to make Skylimit Precious Academy to be the best school in the sub-county going forward.
He said the outgoing class has just opened the way and they are bettering on that progressively.
“I want to appeal to the community to trust us with their pupils and let their sons and daughters pursue their studies at Skylimit Precious Academy and they won’t regret it,” he said.
The school will conduct interviews for the new learners on 13th of January 2023 between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
